Rock Art
The Northumberland Coast, vast and wild .. a place I am constantly drawn to and where I can 'play' with so many elements. Of particular interest to me is an area on the Southside of Spittal beach where sandstone rocks create a landscape all of its own. As the tide recedes, the contrast in the colours and patterns are most evident before the wind and sun dry the rocks. Each image in itself is a fascinating landscape and with the absence of a horizon, there is no scale.
These 10 images are included in an exhibition at the Salon of Contemporary Art 2024 from 14th - 16th June at the Museum of Making in Derby.
